Lamborghini LM002 pops up for sale for $350,000 on Craigslist in Clifton, New Jersey. 

When there are only 328 units of any particular vehicle produced, sales are volatile in a market for a niche vehicle that’s ever changing with price trends set by how much they bring at auction. Earlier Tuesday evening, an extremely rare Lamborghini LM002 SUV was listed for sale on Craigslist in Clifton, New Jersey.From what we can tell from the photos, this particular example is immaculate with fairly low miles. First introduced in 1986, the Lamborghini LM002 was a consumer model of the infamous Lamborghini LM001. Outfitted with a 5.2 Liter V12 from the Lamborghini Countach, this burly 6,780 pound SUV made a whopping 444 HP and an adequate 369 lb-ft. This enabled this three-ton Italian Stallion the capability to hit 60 MPH in 7.7 seconds. Keep in mind, during that time an equivalent Range Rover weighed over a ton less.

According to the seller of this LM002,

"This LM002 is an absolute beauty, everything is up to date and runs great. There are upgrades done to the car such as a radio and a custom driver seat rail to allow the seat to go back further for a tall person to drive. It has 18,402 kilometers. Call for more details if interested and serious offers are welcome."

The only drawback and often cited shortcoming of ownership for these Rambo Lambo’s are the tires. As they’re specially made Pirelli Run flats with an odd size, according to Road and Track, new ones from Pirelli cost $5000 a piece!

Some owners have gone the cost effective route of adding new wheels and more popular tire sizes swapped on, but other than that, most likely you’ll find original wheels and tires on these retro SUV’s.

Used LM002’s usually go for between $120,000-$200,000 at auction, so while this price is a bit much compared to what they usually go for, it’s not all that outrageous.  Plus, the owner is considering some serious offers so some low-balling is expected (as is tradition for Craigslist.)
