Andreas Steven is one of the first people in the world whose in line to put down a deposit for a Tesla Model 3.

Literally no one even knows what the Tesla Model 3 will look like but that hasn’t deterred the enthusiasm of one Tesla fan who’s determined to be one of the first in the world to put down a deposit. According to our motoring friends over in Australia at EFTM, Australian man Andreas Stevens is one of the first people in line at a Tesla Showroom in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, Australia ready to put in a pre-order

With online pre-orders ready to be received by Tesla on April 1 but pre-orders also accepted at all stores a day earlier, Andreas has a 36-hour head start over everyone else whose opting to stay in their PJ’s with a lazy cup of coffee. Keep in mind that this pre-order does not guarantee one of the first Tesla Model 3’s to land in Australia. Those will go to current Tesla Model S owners. Instead, Andreas will be one of the first non-Tesla owners to snag a Model 3.

Check out a couple of pictures of Andreas posted up in line that are floating around on social media below and let us know what you think about his enthusiasm in the comments below.

Four other luxury goods come to mind when the phrase “sitting in line” comes to mind. Air Jordan’s, Apple iPhones, certain video games and midnight showings of new movies. Being an early adopter of a product or piece of entertainment does have its perks. Along with the bragging rights and epic stories you’ll most likely tell your friends, it’s the journey of it all that makes waiting worth it in the end.

The Tesla Model 3 very well may be one of the most important cars in our world’s motoring history. Sure there have been affordable electric cars to hit the market before, but none with such a strong mission and with the quality and engineering to bring electric motoring to the common man. With a target MSRP of $35,000, the Tesla Model 3 will bring electric motoring to the middle class.

Like all things fan worthy, we can see the appeal of being one of the first in line to put down a deposit. Andreas will certainly have a story to tell his grandkids and he’ll play a small part in the media mayhem that will be the unveiling of the Tesla Model 3 come March 31.
