Elon Musk just tweeted out a humble brag that they might need to increase production plans for the Tesla Model 3.

We’re sure that Elon Musk is just confidently joking around when he tweeted out his reaction to an informal poll by CNBC, but then again there may be some truth behind that slightly smug response. According to Musk on twitter earlier today, “Looks like we may need to increase production plans for the Model 3.”

Check out the tweet below and let us know what you think about this early hubris in the comments below.

According to the early poll by CNBC, in response to whether you’d put down $1,000 to reserve yourself a Tesla Model 3, more than half (55 percent) of respondents said yes they would. Another 21 percent said they’d put down a grand but weren’t sure that they’d buy one when the time came. The other 24 percent said no or weren’t decided.

This all bodes well for the initial hype surrounding the Tesla Model 3. This all-new electric car for the middle class is set to drop less than 48-hours away on March 31st in a private but streamed live reveal online.

A target price of $35,000 before taxes is already on the table and details are scant on specifics. For that price range we predict that the Tesla Model 3 will have fully autonomous driving just like it’s bigger siblings, obtain a five-star safety rating from NHTSA, have close to 220 miles of range and have all the quality and superior standards set by other Tesla models before it.

Keep in mind that these initial polls are gauging the reaction towards pre-orders and not the actual cars themselves. By utilizing a pre-order precedent, Tesla is able to control how many cars roll off their assembly line and are able to produce cars more efficiently. As of right now, there are already a couple of people in line for pre-orders around the world from Toronto to Australia.

There already may be enough early indicators to say that the Tesla Model 3 will be an absolute home run for the Fremont-based car manufacturer. People will vote with their dollars and just how many pre-orders are submitted come tomorrow will be the final word to silence or confirm any early detractors.
