The 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition will join its siblings soon and is all set to make its US debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show.

The Nissan GT-R Premium is the entry ticket to the Godzilla club and the Nissan GT-R NISMO is the monster meant for hardcore enthusiasts. There is a neat little space in between these two extremes and that’s exactly where the Nissan GT-R Track Edition has found its home. Being a bridge between the Premium and the NISMO has rendered the Track Edition with some unique set of skills and features.

To be unveiled at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, the Nissan GT-R Track Edition doesn’t get the 600 hp engine of the NISMO. But the hand-assembled twin-turbo VR38DETT 3.8-liter 565 hp V6 engine of the Premium is more than enough for this ballistic missile on wheels to upset a lot of Italians. The brilliant paddle-shifted sequential 6-speed dual clutch transmission continues to be the leash to harness the Godzilla.

So how is it better than the standard Nissan GT-R Premium? It has additional adhesive bonding which contributes to better structural rigidity when compared with the standard version. And once you start making a list of things which the Nissan GT-R Track Edition received from its bigger brother, that’s when things get really exciting.
