New teaser arises as the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage release date gets confirmed.

Aston Martin’s CEO Andy Palmer just revealed the launch date for the all-new Vantage in his Twitter post. The image shows the eyes of a wolf with the word VANTAGE in a matching font above the date “21.11. 2017.” In addition to this announcement photo, a couple of teaser pics have also been released, showing off the car’s upgraded design.

One of the pictures (seen below) shows the new signature design of the rear taillights, which debuted a few weeks back. The other campaign image shows the front of the car with wide-set headlights and a more prominent grille.

Although covered by a cloth, both cars seem to have taken inspiration from the beloved DB10 featured in the James Bond movie, “Spectre.” This model, however, seems to have a more rounded style as opposed to the DB’s angular design. More importantly, the teaser preview shows a large rear wing that leads us to believe a GTE Vantage will be unveiled alongside the street version.

The all-new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is expected to come equipped with the same AMG-developed twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from the Mercedes AMG GT S. We can therefore determine that it will put our around 500 horses; the current V8 Vantage delivers 430 horses. The additional horses will help cut the outgoing 0-60mph time of 4.8 seconds to just 4.0 seconds. Top speed is said to exceed 190mph for the new model.

Sources say that consumers will have the opportunity to pick between a six-speed manual or dual-clutch transmission. As has been the case with the existing Vantage, Aston Martin may offer a V12 version of the car. You can expect to see the sacred DB11’s twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 used for that variant.

You can safely assume that the new Vantage will cost slightly more than the current one’s starting price of around $138,000.
