Upcoming North American Auto Show Schedule For February 2018

Both car enthusiasts and members of the media look forward to auto shows for a number of reasons. Here are the North American auto shows for February 2018.

Aside from giving everyone a close-up view of the newest models and concept cars currently out there, auto shows highlight rare and exotic cars that many people may not get to see. No matter if you attend the show as a member of the media or a consumer, you will definitely get a rush as soon as you enter the building. Each year brings new and exciting debuts and unveilings, so you can be sure that it is never the same.

The Chicago Auto Show is listed among the largest shows in North America.

Debuting in1901, it is the nation’s biggest and longest running auto show. Each year it occupies more than one million square feet of the McCormick Place complex. 2018 marks the 110th edition of the Chicago Auto Show, which will take place from February 10 through February 19.

Press preview days, also called media days, take place few days before the shows open to the public.

These “media days” are when the automotive journalists, photographers and reporters come together to gather photos and information about the cars. During this time, they attend press conferences, unveilings, Q+As, and meetings about the newest vehicles and technology.

Live feeds and videos on social media platforms give the public insight into what’s going on and a sneak peak into the show before they come. People who aren’t fond of teaser should, of course, steer clear and just wait to be surprise and impressed.
