Upcoming North American Auto Show Schedule For March 2018

Auto shows are a highly-anticipated and exciting experience for car enthusiasts and the media. Below is a list of the North American auto shows scheduled for March 2018.

Not only do auto shows provide consumers with an up-close and personal look of the newest cars on the market, but they also bring people together. It is not every day that you can see some old-school favorites with top-of-the-line exotic supercars in one place. Whether you attend the show as a member of the media or just an enthusiast, you will definitely feel the positive and contagious energy of the showroom floor. Each year, the shows spoil us with new and exciting debuts and unveilings – and there is always so much to talk about.

The New York International Auto Show is named among the top 5 auto show events for North America.

Opening in 1900, this particular auto show has the earned the distinction of being the country’s first automotive exhibition. It takes place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, usually either at the end of March or beginning of April. This year, the show will run from March 30th until April 8th.

As stated on their website,

"“More than four floors of displays from the world’s automakers will feature the newest vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars.  Nearly 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at North America’s first and largest-attended auto show dating back to 1900.”"

The media/press preview days take place a few days before the show opens to the general public.

This is the time when automotive reporters, journalists and photographers attend the unveilings and press conferences to learn more about the new vehicles on the market.

Social media live feeds are the media’s best friend, as it allows them to broadcast the show to consumers ahead of time. This is especially helpful for those who want a head-start on planning their day at the show, since there is so much to see.

Journalists upload images and stories using the media room at the Convention Center. It is definitely fun to watch the influx of posts that flood the Internet during an auto show week. Those who find themselves unable to attend the actual show are especially grateful for these posts. Those who do not want any teasers of the show, should probably steer clear of certain car blogs from the 28th to the 29th of March.
