Geneva Motor Show : what to expect.
By Andrew Hulse
The Geneva Motor Show is almost here, the show where supercar manufacturers overshadow most everyone else. There are plenty of other debuts and exhibitors that are of interest to those of us who do not care about supercars.
Yesterday I wrote a post about the potential surprises Aston Martin might be bringing to the Geneva Motor Show. Hint hint… I don’t actually know and can only speculate. The show starts March 8th and runs through the 18th. Previews and hints are starting to get dropped by the automakers. There is something there for everyone.
Highlights include:
Aston Martin is bringing the new Vantage and will also have both coupe and Volante versions of the DB11 and as mentioned above, a surprise.
Audi will have the new A6. Photos of the new car were leaked today. It seems to follow some of the stylings of from the A5.
BMW, the X4 is an expected reveal but rumor is we will see the new Z4. Toyota should also have at least some version of the new Supra, which was a collaboration between the two companies.
Ferrari will have one of the more spectacular reveals with the 710 horsepower 488 Pista.

McLaren will bring the already sold out Senna. This is the first time the general public will get to see the car… but no touching.
Mercedes should have a ton with the showstopper being the AMG GT four-door Coupe. I think I understand the four-door coupe thing. We should also see the A-Class which is probably coming stateside.

Just a small sampling of everything that will be there.
Red Bull’s Formula 1 car will be on display along with many many others. As much as I would like to make it to this show, the chances of me making it to this are smaller than my chances of me making it to the Chicago Auto Show. Which I didn’t make it to. Maybe someday.
