How Would You Configure Your Own Porsche 911 GT3 RS?

Porsche just uploaded the configurator for the new 911 GT3 RS and car enthusiasts are having fun playing around with their dream orders.

The German automaker has launched the online configurator for the 991.2 GT3 RS, and we are glad they did! The tool makes building your dream 911 a breeze and the possibilities seem to be endless. The system also gives us a more in-depth look at some of the exterior and interior color combinations that are being offered on the new model, like the Lizard Green hue featured on the debut version.

The newly updated supercar now delivers 520 horses from its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, which is 20 more horsepower than its predecessor. This model also received some visual changes in both its front and rear fascias, including the the NACA duct hood from the GT2 RS. The newly-available optional Weissach Package gives the car some additional carbon fiber accents to the chassis and interior, along with a set of optional magnesium wheels.

Some noted features from Porsche itself about the new 911 GT3 RS:

  • The aerodynamics and interior of this edition are based on the race trim.
  • It includes the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine delivering 520 horsepower. 
  • The chassis offers a slew of impressive driving dynamics for a sporty driving experience.
  • The optional Weissach package and magnesium wheels provide additional weight savings for an ultra-light configuration. 

According to the Porsche Newsroom,

"“The new high-performance sports car with 520-hp and and four-liter, high-speed naturally aspirated engine is based on the 911 GT3, which has been refined still further to combine the performance-enhanced engine with a running-gear setup that features re-calibrated rear axle steering designed for maximum dynamics and precision.The 911 GT3 RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 312 km/h. Following the launch of the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT2 RS, this latest release will see Porsche present its third GT road-approved sports car within a year.”"
