What The Audi Is This? The Audi AI:Trail Quattro Is All Electric
The Audi AI:Trail Quattro concept is the well-known brand’s all-electric off-road car. Is this the competition for the ID Buggy concept from Volkswagen?
Have you seen “Lost in Space” from Netflix? Well, if you haven’t you won’t be able to relate to the comparison taken on this secret concept that Audi has sent a teaser of. In its dark, outlined silhouette it takes shape as a space/mars rover that is similar to the one used on the Netflix series.
And once again, we will get to see the real deal at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s another one! Man… This show is just going to be filled with cars under covers. No one wants to let anybody in on what their plans are, but they want to show they have a new plan.

"We know that this concept will be fully unveiled with proper lighting at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, and there’s also the fact that the brand’s ‘AI’ nomenclature indicates self-driving. Plus, TRAIL is in CAPS LOCK, no doubt replicating the shouty terror of having an electric buggy drive you off-road. Hands and feet inside the carriage, people."
So with this description, it sounds like this will be Audi’s offroad vision and the one to maybe better the Volkswagen ID Buggy. All-electric and off-road, all the same attributes are given out of the prototype that drove Pebble Beach.
It is also said that this will form part of the autonomous range in Audi’s coming of models. It shows that it sports windows, so it should be an amazing drive with all, including the driver, able to admire the scenery while self-driving on the terrains.
"This is the Audi AI:TRAIL Quattro concept, which in HumanSpeak we can broadly translate as: autonomous, electric and off-road. There’s probably more to it than that, but Audi hasn’t yet divulged those particulars. (via: Top Gear)"
Another mouthwatering prospect coming.
