, and it’s only a matter of time when they reach customers this year. While the Mulsanne is the flagship for Bentley, they decided to take things a bit further. Now, a customer can have three different types of the Bentley Mulsanne with the Signature, Speed, and Extended Wheelbase.
But, how would you like your Mulsanne? Would you like your Mulsanne with Grey Poupon and a side of Extended Wheelbase? Or, would you like your Mulsanne (with MOAR POWER!) with a side of 1,100 Newton-meters of torque or 811-lb.ft. of American torques and 530 bhp?
The Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase offers first-class airline comfort with nearly 10 full inches of extra legroom, proper footrests, and a rear sunroof. Yes, the back-seat passengers can have their own sunroof.
The Mulsanne Speed, on the other hand, has upgraded power, and is capable of a 0-60 time of an estimated 4.9 seconds, with a top speed over 190 miles per hour. Yes, the driver can have some fun.
"Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, comments: “The Mulsanne is the epitome of Bentley’s DNA – exquisite, individual and powerful. It defines luxury in the automotive world and offers a uniquely Bentley blend of luxury and performance.“The three distinct handcrafted models now available each offer customers something different. The Mulsanne, with its understated elegance and sporting purpose, remains the consummate luxury limousine; the Mulsanne Speed is the pinnacle of luxury and performance thanks to its immense power, torque and refinement; and now the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase – with its extraordinary airline-style seats and rear-passenger bias – becomes the new benchmark in automotive comfort.”"
The ultimate in luxury is the ability to have choice. Individual choice and personalization add to the specialization of tailoring a specific model to a customer. With the latest Mulsanne range, the luxury market expands to those that relish comfort, as well as those that relish outright power.
