You’ve wanted the 1,000 Hp Hennessey THE EXORCIST Camaro ZL1 since the first pics popped up online. Now John Hennessey has the info on how to get one of those.

It came out much before the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon did and the aptly named Hennessey THE EXORCIST Camaro ZL1 lived up to its name in every way. While Dodge Challenger SRT Demon ended up with a truckload of power and performance bragging rights of its own, THE EXORCIST still remained unbeaten in many departments, like the 1000 hp of power and 996 lb-ft of torque that the Hennessey beast belts out. The SRT Demon on the other hand makes a potent 840 hp of power and 770 lb-ft of torque.

THE EXORCIST Camaro ZL1 can also complete the quarter mile run in less than 10 seconds and is capable of clocking 60 mph from a standstill in less than 3 seconds. Now those two figures too are in the same range as the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The Chevy-based Hennessey looks sharper and meaner too, though the styling aspect of both cars will eventually be more about whole “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”.

THE EXORCIST costs a whopping $117,000 in its base model form and that’s a steeper price than the Demon. But if you’ve already convinced yourself to buy this one over the souped-up Dodge, how do you proceed from that decision to the actual task of buying the Hennessey? Well, John Hennessey who runs Hennessey Performance Engineering has the answers and he chose to film those while putting the first production model of the car through its paces in a test drive.
