Discovery Channel’s First-Ever ‘Motor Mega Week’ Is Here!

The network that brought you Shark Week is proud to launch its first-ever “Motor Mega Week” for the ultimate car enthusiast.

This is basically a week-long programming event that features car-themed content that is sure to entertain and get some hearts pumping. Why does this call for celebration, you may ask? Silly question, but here’s why: this week presents the premieres of three all-new series and an all new Mega Race! If that isn’t enough to have you glued to your television set, we may have a few questions ourselves.

Yesterday was the first night of this event which aired KICK-OFF TO MEGA RACE at and STREET OUTLAWS VS. FAST N’ LOUD: BUILD TO MEGA RACE PART 1 . This was the first installment of the four-part BUILD TO MEGA RACE series, which takes audiences into the garages of some of the biggest talents in the motor industry. This all takes place as they prepare for the epic showdown that is MEGA RACE.  The exciting finale of the STREET OUTLAWS: MEMPHIS showed right after.

BUILD TO MEGA RACE continues with PART 2 tonight, before the premiere of STREET OUTLAWS: NO PREP KINGS. This all-new series features Outlaw veteran Chuck as a race master in a new city and on a new “no prep” track each and every week You will see racers battling it out to see who becomes the ultimate “no prep” champion.

Tomorrow night is the third part of BUILD TO MEGA RACE, followed by the premiere of the all-new series, TWIN TURBOS.

This new installment follows father-and-son duo Doug and Brad DeBerti as they continue to impress with some mean custom builds. The two of them have no boundaries, and are known for creating some outrageous, state-of-the-art vehicles such as a truck modeled after a fighter jet.

Be sure to catch Gas Monkey Garage, the 405 and Fired Up Garage on Thursday night, as they prepare to wrap up their builds for the final BUILD TO MEGA RACE episode. The long-awaited and highly-anticipated AMERICAN CHOPPER  debuts an exclusive sneak peek of its upcoming season as well. World-renown motorcycle builders Paul Teutul, Sr. and Paul Teutul, Jr. return to reclaim their spot on top of the high-pressure customized bike building world. Clients include A-list celebrities, global athletes, and Forbes 100 businesses, among many others.

Monday, March 5 airsThe COUNTDOWN TO MEGA RACE right before MEGA RACE. Right after that is the premiere of the all-new series SHIFTING GEARS WITH AARON KAUFMAN. This is what tons of car fans have been waiting for. It has FAST N’ LOUD star Aaron Kaufman in the boss position redefining the custom car building space. He pushes his talents for design to the ultimate limit on custom vehicle builds that he is extremely passionate about. We cannot wait to see the process for these projects.
